Our strategy is to operate a resilient concession-based car park portfolio within the attractive off-street segment. We aim to offer the best value proposition to our customers, adopt new technologies that improve customer experience and build a strong product offering that caters to customer needs. We also aim to increase our presence in Spain via participation in sector consolidation and in new tenders.
Our car parks are uniquely located in city centres and other prime locations. Furthermore, our car park portfolio is well diversified by customer sector as well as geography, with presence throughout Spain and Andorra, and with several regional clusters (Madrid, Catalonia, Galicia, Andalusia, Canary Islands, Basque Country)
The PARKIA trademark encompasses different companies: Acvil Aparcamientos S.L., Laoconte Operaciones, S.L., Parking Arenal S.A. Concesionaria del Ayuntamiento de Bilbao, Parking Clínica S.A., Vertical de Maià, S.L., Inversiones Estrómboli, S.L.U., Inversiones Filicudi, S.L.U., Inversiones Hildas, S.L.U., Inversiones Koronis, S.L.U., Inversiones Leucade, S.L.U., Inversiones Pallas, S.L.U., Parkia Canarias, S.L.U., Estacionamientos Granada, S.A.U. y Compañía Concesionaria del Aparcamiento de la Plaza Gernikako Arbola de Barakaldo-Parking Juzgados, S.A.U.; all of them dedicated to the operation of off-street car parks in Spain and Andorra.

PARKIA’s origin date back to 1977, when Entrecanales y Tavora, S.A., a construction and infrastructure company, and Cubiertas y Mzov, S.A., a railway transportation company, started to operate in the Spanish car park sector respectively.
In 1997, these two companies merged into a new company called Técnicas de Aparcamientos Urbanos (TAU), which was fully integrated into Acciona, a Spanish construction and infrastructure group.
In 2005, TAU changed its registered name to Acciona Aparcamientos, S.L.
In 2011, EQT Infrastructure acquired Acciona Aparcamientos, S.L. and rebranded it as PARKIA.
In 2014, EQT Infrastructure and Mutua Madrileña merged their car park operators PARKIA and MutuaPark, making PARKIA the third largest off-street car park operator in Spain.
In 2015, PARKIA acquired Parking Arenal S.A., a car park portfolio in the city of Bilbao.
In October 2016 it was acquired by the Australian Investment Fund First State Investments.
In December 2017 PARKIA acquired Laoconte Operaciones, S.L., a car park in the city of Santander.
In June 2018, PARKIA acquired 10 car parks from the former Ixolux Corsan portfolio, including the one owned by the Nuevo Centro Shopping Center in Valencia.
Currently, PARKIA collaborates with local administrations in the search for solutions to the issues of vehicle parking and the reduction of traffic congestion in cities with the aim of improving the quality of the environment for all citizens.
We are well aware of the importance of developing an adequate occupational risks prevention policy, PARKIA maintains an external prevention service covering different technical disciplines of Safety at Work, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics and Applied Psychology – such as Occupational Medicine. Conditions at work are reviewed and checked on a regular basis, with the aim of reducing or eliminating any occupational hazards.
At PARKIA, we honor our commitment to the environment and hence, we have started a program for replacing and modernizing lighting in all our car parks in order to reduce electricity consumption and thus contributing to the sustainability of the environment.
Driven by this commitment, we are also developing a project for the installation of electricity charging points for electric vehicles at our car parks, granting us a leading position in providing this type of service to our customers.
